FRACTAL ANALYSIS OF BOILING HEAT TRANSFER

Study on boiling heat transfer has attracted more and more attentions due to its safe and efficient utilization of energy sources.In this paper,an overview of recent advances in the area of boiling heat transfer is presented,and basic fractal geometry theory is introduced.Several fractal models for the nucleate pool boiling, subcooled flow boiling,CHF and nanofluids boiling heat transfer are reviewed,summarized and discussed. Finally,comments and suggestions are made with respect to further development in this new frontier.
