The sheet forming is complicated due to the simultaneous existence of high order nonlinearities of geometry, materials, contact and friction. A CAE system composed of the finite element simulation and computer graphics can be established to investigate this complicated processes of sheet forming. Useful information can be obtained for the dersign and manufacturing of the sheet forming. The components of the CAB system, the finite element algorithms and the methods for the simulation of contact, friction, draw bead and springback are discussed in this paper.
