Preparation of Nanosized SnO_2 by Urease-induced Homogeneous Precipitation

The precursor for SnO_2 nanoparticle was synthesized by urease-induced homogeneous precipitation at room temperature.TG-DTA and FTIR tests indicate that the precursor is hydride tin oxide.XRD patterns and TEM images show that the mean sizes of SnO_2 obtained from precursor after sintering at 500℃ and 800℃ for 2h are about 11nm and 43nm respectively.The advantage of urease-induced homogeneous precipitation is that a large number of ions can be formed under homogeneous conditions in a very short time owing to urease's high catalysis,which can produce mono-dispersed tin oxide particles.
