Thermal Effects of Structural Parameters of PCM Canister on Heat Receiver under a Certain Working Condition

Solar is clean and sustainable new energy sources.Space solar dynamics power system is a major resource of space devices.In order to investigate the thermal effects of structural parameters of PCM canister on heat receiver,a 2D mathematical and physical model of PCM canister is formulated.Three PCM canisters with different outer diameter under two different operational parameters are calculated.The results of the study indicate that outer diameter of PCM canister plays an important role in the heat receiver mass-reducing and the efficiency-improving.The results can be used for the optimization of power-mass ratio of heat receiver.
