Detection and Analysis of Power Quality Based on Wavelet Transform

This paper puts forward a research method of power quality detection and analysis based on wavelet transform.Malat fast algorithm was applied to decompose the high/low frequency coefficients of five kinds of transient power quality disturbances(voltage interruption,voltage sag,voltage surge,oscillation transient and pulse transient).The corresponding modulus maxima of db4 wavelet transform singularity can be used for the precise positioning of the disturbance signals,and the signal occurrence and end time,duration and amplitude size can be used to extract the characteristic signal and quickly determine the disturbance signal types.The simulation results verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the method,and guarantee that the power quality of the power system would be improved.
