Synthesis of β-SiC Micro-powder with Gangue or Silica and Anthracite

β-SiC micro-powder is synthesized with gangue and anthracite which is a new preparation process from gangue and anthracite or quartzite and anthracite. The study show that β-SiC productivity raise firstly and fall down then with power increase. When power is 30kW,the productivity of β-SiC archives the maximum, 87%. The reaction has more low temperature, more fast velocity and more high productivity of β-SiC from gangue compared to quartzite. The content of β-SiC is 98～99.73% through chemical analysis and XRD analysis. the size distribution of β-SiC is 3～110μm and the average size is 28μm through the instrument of size distribution. β-SiC has widely applications in high level fire resisting material, structural ceramic raw material, precision abrasive material et al.
