Cellular automata model in design of railway route selection

Railway route selection design is one of the total designs of railway construction. Considered the demand of sustainable development of transportation industry and the environment , directional line method having extended meaning,which improves traditional directional line, is introduced as a new railway route selection method .Based on the idea of the method, cellular automata model of railway location is set up. Cellular automata has the function of discrete dynamic evolution and synthesizes many targets to consideration so as to realize the automated railway location of railway route selection design. Cellular automata model of railway location and its whole discrete optimization algorithm provide a new idea for overall optimization design for railway horizontal vertical and cross alignment. The method improves efficiency for the design of railway route selection.
