Influences of Different Boron Levels on Oilseed Rape (Brassica campestris L.) Flowering and Nectar Secretion

The rape field experiment was carried out in five different boron supply. The percentage of flowering and the rape average number of pods accounted for rape flowering duration and the number of flowers respectively, then the analysis of variance was conducted for the rape flowering duration, nectar production, nectar concentration and the number of flowers in different boron levels. The results showed that boron supply in a certain range( 0~15 kg/hm2, the amount of boron fertilizer calculated on the basis of boron acid) had no effect on rape flowering duration, nectar production, nectar concentration and the number of flowers. However, nectar production per 100 rape flowers was increased by 0.031g,0.040g,0.045g, 0.075g in -1,0,1,2 boron supply separately, compared with no boron supply(-2), and the number of flowers per plant was increased by 41.3, 87.9, 94.0, 106.7 in -1, 0,1,2 boron supply separately, compared with no boron supply(-2).
