Study and Selection Suggestions of the Conversional Removal Technology of Organic Sulfur in Water Gas

Five current processes and the operational characteristics of their production units for conversional removal of organic sulfur from the water-gas(or semi-water gas) were analyzed and compared and the occurrence of thioether and mercaptan during the hydrogenation and hydrolysis conversion of COS and CS 2 was pointed out.Suggestions as to how to select the right organic sulfur conversional removal process to meet the different total sulfur and gas composition requirements in water-gas deep-processing(later process) was presented.
