Experimental research on one-step drawing and spinning of thin-walled cup

The effect of drawing and spinning process parameters on the wall thickness, outer diameter and forming properties of a thin-walled cup was researched. The experiment result shows that the feed ratio f of spinning roller and the gapδbetween spinning roller and mandrel have a great influence on the cup thickness, nominal drawing ratio K, and the drawing and spinning forming performance. And a little more feed ratio and nominal drawing ratio can easily result in wrinkle and crack in the cup when the workblank is very thin. The ranges of process parameters were proposed for proper drawing and spinning in this paper.
