Advance of bZIP Transcription Factors in Plants

Basic leucine zipper transcription factors are one of the most extensively and conserved transcription factors in the eukaryote proteins.Now,in Arabidopsis genome,fabaceous genome and rice genome,a lot of bZIP transcription factors have been found.This article focuses on the most advanced research in plant bZIP transcription factors,summarizes the structures and functions of different groups of bZIp transcription factors.According to their difference in structure,bZIP transcription factors can be classified ten subgroups as Group A,Group B,Group C,Group D,Group E,Group F,Group G,Group H,Group I and Group S.bZIP transcription factors extensively participate in the expression of the seed storage genes,developments,photomorphogenesis,pathogen defense,biologic and abiotic stress responses,ABA signaling of plants and so on.
