Gasification System from Solid Fuels Using High Temperature Air and Key Technology

A solid-fuel high-efficiency gasification system using high temperature air is proposed. The solid fuels are converted into gas with high temperature over 1 000 ℃ and low excess air ratio about 0.3～0.5. High temperature air preheater and pebble bed gasifier are its key technologies. The high temperature air gasification reaction and high temperature steam reforming reaction take place in the gasifier. Working principle and procession associated with gasification system are explained. The advantages such as high-efficiency gasification, low pollution and good economic benefit is evaluated. At last, the suggestion of applying the new technology in China is put forward.
