Influence of Change in Gas Composition on Thermal Efficiency of Soaking Furnace

The numerical simulation of combustion in soaking furnace is performed by CFD software.The influence of change in gas composition on combustion temperature,radiation intensity of flue gas and uniformity of flow field and temperature field in soaking furnace is analyzed.The actual testing of soaking furnace is performed based on theoretical analysis.When the heating values are similar or different considerably,the influence of gases with different compositions on the thermal efficiency of soaking furnace is great.The soaking furnace has still a potential in energy saving and emission reduction.
