The efficacy and safety of celluzyme (extract of mushroom) facial mask

Objective To observe the efficay and safety of celluzyme(extract of mushroom) facial mask.on skin color,pore size,and wrinkles.Methods Thirty healthy volunteers were recruited.One side of face was treated with the facial mask twice a week for a consecutive 4 weeks,according to a randomisation table.The other side was spared and observed as the self control.Before and after each procedure,skin color and water content were measured with spectrophotometer(L: skin lightness;a: erythema) and corneometer,individually.The global assessment were performed both by a blinded dermatologist and by all the volunteers.Results The mean change of L value of the treated side was significantly higher than that of the control side.However,the mean *a value and water content did not change differently between the two sides.Both the dermatologist and the volunteers assessed that the celluzyme facial mask could whiten the skin,shrink the pore,and reduce the wrinkle,in the slight to moderate extent.Conclusion Celluzyme facial mask could effectively and safely improve skin color and texture.
