Energy changing characteristics of explosion wave and heating effect of wall

LIN Bo-quan, JIAN Cong-guang(School of Energy Resources and Safety Engineering, China University of Mining and Technology, Xuzhou221008,China)  
Studied the heating effect of wall on transmission characteristics of gas explosion by experiments on the basis of studying the changing characteristics of explosion wave energy. The result indicated that the delivering heat of gas explosion can be divided into four parts:① Turned into delivering heat of wall by convection and heat radiation; ② Delivered to gas that do not be burned through transmitting heat, diffusion and heat radiation; ③ Turned into energy of explosion wave and kinetic energy of products by bloating; ④ All kinds of loss in heat transmission. Delivering heat of wall was reduced prominently (about only occupy third part of original) when the wall of tube was covered by heat insulation material. Some of the loss heat was delivered to gas that do not be burned through transmitting heat and diffusion, and others exaggerate the strength of explosion wave by bloating. Both of them can exaggerate the transmission speed of flame and the strength of explosion wave, and even induce shock wave.
