A significant change in atmospheric CO_2 concentration has a variety of serious environmental effects.It is crucial to reduce CO_2 emissions.One of CO_2 sequestration technologies is mineral sequestration,a way to dispose CO_2 in carbonate mineral permanently.The mineral sequestration approaches include direct or indirect carbonation based silicates,captured CO_2 in raw or improvement brine.In this article,we discuss these approaches in detail and make a comparison among them on operational complexity,technologic requests,cost and so on.It suggests that the mineral sequestration have a potential perspective.
