Research progress of involution mechanism of immune organs

Lymphohematopoietic progenitor cells, thymic epithelial cells, hematopoietic stem cells(HSCs) andbone marrow stromal cells are crucial factors for thymus and marrow involution, which is the reflection of endothelialcell heterogeneity fading as well. Lymphocytes go in or out thymus through endothelium; sinusoidal endothelial cellsmobilize HSCs. Endothelial cell heterogeneity is governed by differences in the extracellular milieu, and has highplasticity. Afferent nerves along with microcirculation possess tissue specificity, and their neurotransmitter couldmodulate express of endothelial cell heterogeneity. Organ ageing is a process of ordered microvascular degeneration.In normal physiological conditions, the effect of microcirculation and attendant nerves could be dominant on thymusand marrow involution.
