This study was performed to investigate immunological function of miR-302 b in the esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC) tissues, and to investigate the clinical relevance of miR-302 b expression in ESCC.The expression of miR-302 b was detected by quantitative real time PCR(qRT-PCR) in 63 ESCC patients paired with NAT(non-tumor adjacent tissues). We also detected the cell proliferation and invasion in TE-10 cells and the levels of miR-302 b and CRI relative genes(IRF2/ERBB4/CXCR4) by inflammatory stimulation or transfected with the miRNA's specific siRNA and mimics. Data showed that the level of miR-302 b was higher in ESCC tissues compared with NAT. In conclusion, miR-302 b could inhibit cell proliferation and invasion in TE-10 cells by inhibiting the expression of CRI genes(IRF2/ERBB4/CXCR4), thus prevents the development of ESCC.
