Manoeuver Movement Analysis on Ship Towing Underwater Cable-Body System

BAO Xiong-guan,ZHU Ke-qiang(Maritime College of Ningbo University,Ningbo 315211, China)  
Time domain analysis is applied to Ship Towing Underwater Cable-Body System and a FORTRAN-77 computer program is given. A Lumped parameter model is used to describe the cable-body system. The cable is taken to be round, extensible and bending rigidity negligible. The Fouth Runge-Kutta method is used to integrate the motion equation of the system. Two examples are also given. The program can be widely used to analyze mooring lines, towing and ROV umbilical cables with series-connected ocean cable-body system in the primary design stage.
