EXTRACTION AND PURIFICATION OF TANNIC ACID

Huang Shaohua\ Yanhuiru\ Shen Jian(Department of Food Science and Engineering,Nanchang University,Nanchang,330047 China)  
Gallnut was extracted by 1∶1 acetone-water,its content may increase from 57% to 81.0%.It can be pured by adsorption resin further,tannic acid's content was over 90% on dry basis.
