Metal ions contents in groundwater of gannan fluorite deposit and its significance

Atomic absorption spectroscopy was employed to measure the metal ions in groundwater of Gannan Xintang fluorite deposit.It was found that the major ions contents vary with the vertical depth.Ca2+,Na+,K+ and Mg2+ increase with vertical distance,among which Ca2+ and Na+ prensent as metals with highest concentration.The average concentrations of Ca2+,Na+,K+ and Mg2+ increase doubly the 100 meters,150 meters,500 meters.Furthermore,Ca2+ solubility is 11 to 33 times higher than CaF2 in water,which suggested that the main cations are not from the dissolution of fluorite mine.Good correlations were verified between Ca2+,Na+,K+ and Mg2+,and the high sodium content.Therefore,it is proposed that water seepage dissolved the rock deposit,revealing the source of seepage water substances.
