Compaired optimization study on production of ethanol with straw liquefication by double strains fermentation

With the use of product from liquefied straw as the substrate,ethanol was prepared by fermentation of Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Candida shehatae respectively.The effect factors of fermentation stage were optimized in order to select the optimal strain to complete the transformation of straw into ethanol.The results showed that the glucose density might reach 69.5 mg/mL after the enzymolysis of liquefied product,which was a good substrate for ethanol fermentation preparation.Saccharomyces cerevisiae was more suitable for fermentation microbial strain after the optimized fermentation condition.Under the suitable fermentation conditions: initial glucose density 60~65 mg/mL,the temperature 30 ℃,pH 6.0,with fluid amount 80 mL triangle bottle,inoculation amount of 10%,fermentation time of 36 h,the ethanol yield rate might reach 49.3%,which achieved the theory yield rate 96.1%.The highest conversion rate was 0.27 g/g(ethanol/straw liquefied products).
