Simple Algorithm of Normal Depth in Standard Opening Shaped Tunnel

In order to further simplify the calculation process of normal depth in standard opening shaped water cross section, according to the optimization fitting principle, the minimum standard remaining difference is used as the objective function, in the applicable parameter range of the project, according to successive approximation fitting calculation, a simple analytic formula finishing solving computing directly by generic formula can be obtained, its form is more simple and intuitive, easy to remember and convenient for application, the actual calculation can be done quickly and easily only with the calculator. Numerical examples analysis showed that the maximum calculation relative error of the simple algorithm is only 0.791%, the points whose relative error is less than 0.5 % account for 79.4% of the total calculation points, thereby meeting the design accuracy requirements of practical engineering, and it has some practical promotion significance.
