STUDIES ON TRANSITION FROM WATER DRIVE TO CO~2 SOAK FOR COMMON HEAVY OIL

Due to high viscosity,great ratio of fluidity as well as inhomogeneity of common heavy oil reser- voir,the results of development by injecting water is not so good and most part of heavy oil still can not be devel- oped even when water cut is.higher than 90%.Therefore,it is necessary to transform the developing ways to in- crease the recovery percent of reserves at the end of water drive.For the problem above,laboratory method is a- dopted to study the feasibility of transition to CO_2 soak at the end of water drive for common heavy oil reservoir.Ac- cording to the experimental results,various factors impacting the results of CO_2 soak are analysed.Basing on the analyses,it is proved that the period amount of CO_2 injected,velocity of injection,well stew time and the flowing pressure during the course of production at the well bottom and method to decrease the pressure are all important factors that will influent the results of CO_2 soak.So the better effect of co_2 soak are depend on the reasonable con- trol of various injection parameters.
