Synthesis and Application of Polycarboxylic Acid DP Finishing Agent

The DP finishing agents were prepared by free radical polymerization with maleic acid,maleic anhydride and itaconic acid reacting in presence of peroxide.The process formulation and conditions by using PMA on cotton fabric were optimized by orthogonal test and the fabric properties were measured.They were PMA 80g/L and SHP 24g/L,with baking temperature at 160℃ and pH at 4.In order to improve the wrinkle recovery angle,the finishing agents composite of CA and TiO2 with PMA were used in DP finishing for cotton fabric.The result showed that the breaking strength,tearing strength and WRA of the finished fabric increased with the increment of the concentration of CA.If the concentration of CA was higher,the whiteness of the finished fabric would decline.Added nano-TiO2 improved WRA.
