The Uptake Characteristic of Cadmium in Ramie(Boeheria Nivea L.) And The Amelioration of Cd-Polluted Paddy Field.

Abstract Studies were carried out on the characteristic of cdmium uptake by ramie and the amelioration of Cd-polluted paddy field.The results showed that there was no negative effect when the content of Cd in soil was under 100mg/kg.Raw fibre yield decreased by 14.5% compared with the control with the application of Cd 400mg/kg.The contents of Cd in organs were in order of rootstrem and leafgrain;Cd contents in stem and leaf were in order of root residuebarkwoody stemraw fibre.Cd contents in root,stem and leaf of different growing time were in order of 3rd year2nd yearlst year.Cd contens in stem and leaf in three crops were in order of lst crop3rd crop2nd crop.The decrease rate of Cd in the soil was 5.5% every year with planting ramie for absorbing Cd from paddy field.
