The Assessment of Cd Pollution in Soil by Toxicity of Wheat Seedling.

Yang Linshu et al.(Beijinag Agriculture University,100094)
Abstract The assessment of Cd pollution in soil by Cd concentration in the above ground part of pot-cultured wheat seedling, the decrease in biomass and POD activity mutation point was feasible.During three-leaf,after wintering and jointing periods, the Cd concentration in the above ground part was more than that during earing and riping periods, and it was notable correlated with Cd concentration in seed and soil. The Cd concentration and POD activity of wheat seedling were positively correlated,so were the POD activity and Cd concentration in soil. The critical levels of soil Cd concentration for pollution, biomass reduction POD activity conversion were 0.72 mg/kg,16.75mg/kg and 6.0mg/kg,respectively.The seedling period was suitable for the assessment.in which three-leaf period was the best.
