Analysis of asphalt pavement structure response in permafrost region

Asphalt pavement structure in permafrost regions was analyzed using ABAQUS software,analysis results showed that pavement displacement was mainly decided by subgrade thaw depth and the influence of pavement structure types on it was little.However the tensile stress of base bottom was greatly affected by pavement structure types.With increase of thaw depth pavement displacement markedly increased.The tensile stress of graded crushed rock base pavement was minimal and that of semi-rigid base pavement was maximal.For large permeability and small anti-heavy traffic ability of graded crushed rock base,it was proposed that asphalt stabilized base pavement was much more suitable for permafrost region.
