EVALUATION OF POTENTIALITIES OF COMPREHENSIVE UTILIZATION OF MINERAL RESOURCES IN NANJING

 Ge Baoxiang Chen Guangqing(Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources of Najing, Nanjing 210008)  
We present the result of an investigation of the actural situation of metalliferous and chemical mines in the area of Nanjing, and of an evaluation of the economic potentialities of all different types of mines. Especially, the authors discussed the economic values and environmental effects of coexisting(or associated) ores and wastes in metalliferous mines. By comprehensive utilizations, many valuable metals may be extracted from coexisting (or associated) ores. Otherwisem mineral wastes may be utilized as building materials. Most importantly, comprehensive utilixations of minerals wastes can resolve the grave public problem of environmental pollution and land occupy. Finally, the authors discussed factors unfavourable to the comprehensive utilixations of mineral resources.
