Sensitivity Analysis and Dynamic Design of Design Parameters for Internal Grinder Bed

The dynamic performance of machine tool in natural frequencies has a great effect on machining precision. The sensitivity analysis between performance of the machine tool and design parameters shows that design parameters affecting the dynamic performance of the bed, can be determined which are the most senstive. A satisfactory result for designing the optimum performance machine tool bed is obtaned. This paper also analyzes the parameters of design sensitivity including the thickness and positions of the major ribs for internal grinder beds with the two kinds of ribs. The parameters ensure the ideal dynamic performance of the grinder bed design, and make the grinder bed light in weight.
