Expression of MTS1 Gene in Gastric Carcinoma and Precancerous Tissue

The expression of MTS1 gene was studied by the use of LSAB immuunistochemicalmethod in 50 cases of gastric carcinoma and 12 cases of precancerous lesion. The result showed that the positive rate of expression of WTS1 was 66. 7% in gastric precancerous lesions and 28 .0% in gastric carcinoma(P 0.05); the positive rate of MTS1 in gastric carcinoma with well differentiaton was 38.5% and 16.7% in poor differentiation (P 0.05),and there was nonsignificant difference of MTS1 expression between groups of different invasive depth with or without metastasis of gastric carcinoma into lymphnodes . It is suggested that MTS1 should be related to process of carcinogenesis and histological defferenitation of gastric mucosa, and was not related to the invasive depth of carcinoma and metastasis of gastric carcinoma into lymph nodes.
