Experimental Simulation of CO_2 and CO Generated by Burning Single Sofa in Full-scale Fire Test

To analyse the hazards of the heat and smoke from the building fire caused by furniture,the burning experiment on sofa was conducted in the ISO 9705 standard test room with the dimensions of 2.4 m×2.4 m×3.6 m. By measuring the fire dynamic parameters such as the heat release rate of sofa, yield and production rate of CO_2 and CO, the relationship between the heat release rate and the behavior of CO_2 and CO generation in smoke is studied. The results provide useful and reliable experimental data for fire safety performance-based design and computer simulation.
