Analysis of four isozymes in parent lines and F 1 hybrids of radish

Sun Hui, Wang Longzhi and Gong Yiqin (Dept of Horticulture, Nanjing Agirc Univ, Nanjing 210095)  
Four isozymes including esterase (EST), α amylase, cytochrome (COD) and peroxidase (POD) of roots and leaves at vegetative stage, and of stem leaves and flower buds at reproductive stage were compared in six F 1 and their parent lines. After adding up the bands, which lined in Rf order, of all developmental stages and tissues, there were 24 bands divided into fast, middle and slow parts in EST. Rf of three bands in α amylase were ascended during plant growth; there were 11 bands in COD, two of which (Rf=0.13, 0.17) were constant; and there were 8 bands in POD, one of which (Rf=0.17) was constant. Zymograms of most F 1 hybrids are complementary pattern of parents. No hybrid bands was found.
