Origin of Fu and Connotations of Diplomatic Culture in the Eyes of " Xingren, A Government Official

Xu Jie (the Chinese Dept,Nanjing univ.,Nanjing,210093,Jiangsu)
Ancient scholars claim that fu is a tributary of ancient poetry. The tie between fu and The Book of Songs lies above all in that chanting poems is to express feelings and aspirations. It is Xingren' s duty to reply by chanting poems, which also becomes one form of diplomatic rituals. The medium which bridges xingren' s poem -chanting and the composing of fu by fu writers in the Han Dynasty is the canvasses of the political strategists in the Warring States Periods. Fu writers in and after the Han Dynasty uphold rhetoric and the reconstruction of rituals, and they give prominence to tributes, moralization, and ceremonies, all of which originate from the early Qin Dynasty.
