Influence of Distance on the Sensor for Canopy Total Temperature and Error Correction

Crop canopy temperature is the manifestation of combined action of internal metabolism and environmental conditions. So the accurate measurement of canopy temperature has great implications for the adjustment of ambient conditions that are suitable to the growth of crop,and infrared temperature measurement is one of the main methods of canopy temperature measurement. This paper starts with the principle of infrared temperature measurement,finds that detect distance is one of the factors which affect the accuracy of temperature measurement. On the certain indoor environmental temperature,an experiment on demonstrating the influence of measurement distance on the precision of an infrared temperature measurement system is carried out. The result shows that the measured errors increase to 1. 3°C gradually with the increase of the detect distance,and based on this we provide a model of distance compensation. Finally,the model of error correction turns out to be effective to weaken the effect of measuring distance,and the measured errors are below 0. 2℃.
