THE PRILIMINARY STUDY ON RANDOM AMPLIFIED POLYMORPHIC DNA OF CUCUMBER (Cucumis sativus)

Chen Defu,Chen Xiwen,Hou Zhibo,Wang Jiehua,Li Xiuqing (Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology,Nankai University,Tianjin,300071)  
The total DNAs were isolated from 10 cucumber parents leaves by isopropanol precipitating method to generate the RAPD markers by 28 arbitary 10 mer primers.252 bands were shown in agarose gel.Among them,21 bands amplified by 10 primers indicated polymorphism.No polymorphic band was shown by other 18 primers.
