THE EFFECTES OF SUPPLEMENTAL IRRIGATION WITH HARVESTED RAINWATER OF SLOPING FIELD ON DRY MATTER ACCUMULATION IN MIDDLE AND LATTER PERIODS OF MAIZE

In this paper,the dynamics and differences of maize life long dry matter accumulation and distribution among organs in different drop irrigation conditions at semi-arid area are discussed.The results showed rainwater harvesting for supplemental irrigation accelerates maize's growth and development and increases dry matter accumulation of vegetative organs in earlier and middle periods and the staging dry matter accumulation in ear in latter period.Besides,it makes the dry matter of every organs transfer to ear quickly from filling stage,making the ear have higher dry matter sharing portion.At the same time,on the condition of abundant rain in filling time at local area,dry matter accumulation of the non-irrigated was lower than the irrigated one and its root/shoot ratio was bigger due to lake of water.The dry matter accumulation quickly increased first while the harvest period delayed with a declined yield later.Among different irrigation methods,water preventing film plastic cover method and the one that irrigated twice in earlier and middle stages gave the best result.Especially,those treated by supplemental irrigation in shooting period resulted in a more remarkable yield increase.
