By the method of sample trees stem analysis,this paper studied the difference in tree height、diameter at breast height and volume among Larix gmelini plantations with the densities of 1 312,1 552,and 1 632 stems/hm2 in the Niufentai of Xing'an League.The results showed that,among the three densities,the difference in total increment of BDH appear different at the age of 25 to 30,and the diameter at breast height decreased with the increase of density.At the 15th year,the mean increment of DBH reached maximum;The total increment of tree height was basically similar.The mean increment of tree height and annual increment of tree height reached maximum at 10th year.The total increment of volume and the mean increment of volume have negative correlation with density,and the difference increased with the increasing time at the age of 15 to 30.With the increased of density,the stand volume decreased.After comperehensive comparison,we can conclude that the reasonable density of Larix gmelini plantations was suggested to be 1312 stems/hm2.
