A Study on Moderate Control of Eutrophication in Lake Wuliangsuhai

A experimental base was set up in Lake Wuliangshuhai,NeiMongol,and a study on the moderate control of eutrophication was carried out in large scale.The result of experiment indicated that in recent years about 328.7 tons of total nitrogen and about 28 tons of phosphors is accumulated in Lake Wuliangsuhai every year.These overload accumulations have made ecological structure of Lake Wuliangsuhai seriously degenerate and will make Lake Wuliangsuhai evolve into reed marsh within 30 years.Harvesting 5×104 tons (dry weight) submerged plants by the way of mechanization can transfer 825 tons of nitrogen and 85 tons of phosphors,effectively slow down the accumulation speed of internal nutrient load of lake,and reach a balance of nutrient salts between input and output gradually.It is a crucial technique of moderate control of eutrophication of Wuliangsuhai and will play a key role in ecological restoration of Lake Wuliangsuhai.By harvesting submerged plants systematically and reasonably,we may achieve exploitation and utilization of hydrophytes resources while have the environment and resource of Lake Wuliangsuhai sustainable developed.
