The Clinical Effects on the Variations of Serum Sugar and Serum Calcium of Patients with AP

Objective The objective was to probe the variation of serum sugar and serum calcium of the patients with AP and its effect on prognosis.Methods The concentrations of serum sugar and serum calcium of 194 patients with AP treated from 2006 to 2007 were detected respectively on the day of their admission to our hospital,on the third day and the fifth day of after admission.Results The incidence rates of the rising serum sugar and the falling of serum calcium of the patients with severe acute pancreatitis were higher than that of the patients with mild acute pancreatitis.Conclusion The rising of serum sugar and the falling of serum calcium were two risk factors on the prognosis of patients.
