Analysis on the Status and Influencing Factors of Living Quality of Elderly People in the Rural Regions of Nanchong City

Objective To investigate the status and influencing factors of living quality of elderly people in the rural regions of Nanchong city.Methods 388 subjects from 344 different families in 11 different villages and towns of three districts(Gaoping,Shunqing and Jialing) of Nanchong city are surveyed,conducted with the application of WHOROL-BREF(Chinese version).And the data are analyzed statistically.Results and Conclusions The final score(one-hundred-point system) of living quality of elderly people in the rural regions of Nanchong city is 63.4±10.6(standard deviation),which is 5.5% above living quality of country's average level.Excluding age,medical insurance and history of cigarette and alcohol,the factors that influence the living quality of elderly people include gendre,yearly income,marriage condition,living style and history of chronic diseases,among which,yearly income and history of chronic disease are most significant(p0.05).
