Development and Character Identification of Rice Transformed by Cry1Ca and Bar Gene

The rice variety P88S,a photoperiod-sensitive and/or thermo-sensitive genic male sterile(PTGMS) line,was transformed by Agrobacterium-mediated transformation system,and the transformants were demonstrated by molecular identification and trait assessment.The result showed that the Bar and Cry1Ca genes were successful integrated in rice genome and expressed.But the pollen sterility of transformed P88S showed some degree of fertility after genetically modified when that of P88S was perfect sterile.And there were also significant difference at the 1% level between transgenic lines and P88S in grain width and 1000-grain weight.
