Unit commitment and optimization based on complementarity theory in power system

Aiming at the problems of thermal power generating unit commitment containing the characteristics of discrete variables and continuous variables, non-linear and so on, on the basis of analyzing mathematical model of general unit commitment and optimization, tries to build relationship between continuous variables and discrete variables by continuous way, and according to complementarity constraints and optimization extreme value theory builds a complementary constraint optimization model of power system unit commitment. And then using the smooth NCP function makes smoothing treatment on the established complementarity constraint optimization model, and transforms it into a general nonlinear programming problem, and get the solution by the original dual interior point method. The simulation result shows that this algorithm can effectively deal with mixed optimization problems containing discrete and continuous variables, has good practical application prospects.
