Appraisal System of Healthy Indicators for Shelterbelt Eco-system in the Mu Us Sandland of Ningxia

With the aim of pursuing stability,science,functionality and sustainability of eco-system of the sand fixation shelterbelt,and the principle of showing representation,science,systematization,independence and practice,an indicator appraisal system for ecological healthy sand fixation shelterbelt is introduced in the article according to 3 classified indicators(control,appraisal and investigation),which is consisted of 5 elements(growth,structure,habitat,growth potential and risks) and 18 investigated indexes from the entering point of stability,sustainability and sound functionality.Meanwhile,with the help of mathematic method to define the indicator weight,considering natural condition of the Mu Us Sandland and actual situation of local sand fixation shelterbelts,the author presents a set of indicators and their appraisal ways for comprehensively assessing healthy eco-system of sand fixation shelterbelt based on theories of sand fixation shelterbelt ecology and sand fixation.Additionally,the author proposes theory support to healthy and sustainable development of shelterbelt in the Mu Us Sandland,and provides guidance to pruning management for sand fixation shelterbelt establishment in this region.
