Investigation of Urban Greenbelt Soil Fertility of Qiqihar City

In order to study soil physico-chemical properties of Qiqihar urban greenbelt, with central district parkland, campus and residential green spaces adding up to 12 sample plots as the research objects, 0~20 cm sample soil was collected and soil bulk density, pH, organic matter, total phosphorus, nitrogen and potassium were tested. The result showed that soil bulk density was too dense, soil appeared to be alkaline(average pH7.9), organic matter and total phosphorus were too low, total nitrogen was medium and total potassium was relatively high. The soil fertility of Qiqihar urban greenbelt was proved to be residentialcampuspark. Therefore, urban greenbelt soil characteristics should be considered during different urban greening with different types of Greenbelt.
