Study on canopy structure in reproductive stage of soybean with different densities

The experiment results of comparing two lines' canopy structures of soybean under different population densities, showed that plant stature, population development and yield varied with different densities The differences influenced by planting rate between both genetic types including dry matter accumulation, LAI dynamics, foliar state, ratio between plant height and stem diameter and yield were apparent Comparing with line 9395, the dry matter accumulation of line 9808 was higher and more stable, the variation of plant height/stem diameter was less The line 9808 maintained a greater LAI for a longer duration with less senesce and had stronger capability to regulate foliar position, thus leaf angle was larger and leaf was more fairly well distributed than the line 9395, which benefit for yield formation
