Progresses of Farmland System

The first documents which central government issues are on the three Rural-related Problems from 2004 to 2010.China is unique,and has a long history in agriculture,especially Henan Province which is more representative,specificity,and is first in population,agriculture,food,food processing.Farmland system has been studied from the following four aspects: the first,terrain which are divided into mountains,plains,hills area;the second,research contents which are divided into fertilization,nutrient and its loss,pest and disease control research,allelopathy,carbon balance,contaminated farmland,biological diversity,LUCC change;the third,farming methods which are divided into crop rotation,intercropping,free-tillage;the fourth,research methods which are divided into economic approach,ecological method,physical method,3S technology.There are deficiencies: the first,traditional farming areas have been gotten insufficient attentions;the second,3S technology would need to expand the scope of technology applications;the third,methods of field survey have been gotten insufficient use;the fourth,micro-perspective was lack.Besides,the following can be strengthened in the mechanism of interactions between farmland and environment,farmland location theory,farmland structure and dynamics of change,the integrated use of research methods,summary of different scales of farmland system operating mode,research of China's farmland system and so on.Further,the trends of farmland development are put forward: the number will be further reduced;the output is going to gradually increased,but the weak position will be unlikely to improve;the differences in output would be expanded;more models may be come forth;agglomeration economy will be revitalized;the factors are to more complex.
