Prospects on Agricultural Techniques of High Efficiency Water Using in the 21st Century

Shangguan Zhouping Shao Ming’an (Institute of Water and Soil Conservation, CAS and MWR, Yangling)  
The crisis of water resources is one of the main obstacle factors of society, economy and agriculture sustainable development of the world in the 21st century. Agricultural high efficiency water using is one of the key problems in the world development. Agricultural techniques of high efficiency water using in developed counturies took out evident headway, i.e., sprinkler and micro irrigation, water using engineering, the industrialization of water using machinery and equipment and the technology management. Along with developing of high and new techniques, agricultural high efficiency water using techniques will gain breaching development, in particular, bio technology, the technology of unit agricultural management, fine irrigation and intelligent decision making system.
