Principle and Application of 3D Modeling of Impeller Blade in Pump

This paper presents a data preprocessing program based on the B spline algorithm to achieve the reverse calculation from special points to axis planes transversal starting from the result of hydraulic design software in existence. After obtained the surfaces of pressure side and suction side of the blade, the entity modeling of impeller blades is achieved quickly and successfully with the help of the 3D software Pro/E. This work will be significant for further studying in calculating the flow through impellers and numerical controlled manufacture of the blade dies.
