Safety Evaluation of Fenoxycarb on Environmental Organisms

Zhu Zhonglin Shan Zhengjun Cai Daoji(Nanjing Institute of Environmental Sciences, Nanjing 210042)
Toxicities of fenoxycarb on quail, honeybee and carp have been tested and its safety evaluation also been conducted. The results showed that: ①the toxicity of fenoxycarb on quail and honeybee is low, quail LD50 is 6823.4mg/kg feed and bee LD50(contact 24h) 54.1μg/bee, LC50 (oral 24h)549.5mg/L.②the toxicity of fenoxycarb on carp is moderate, its LC50(96h)is 1.77mg/L.As fenoxycarb is mainly used in orchard crops or vegetables, it has no direct effects on waterbody, and its application rate is low, therefore, it can be concluded that fenoxycarb is generally safe on environmental organisms. However, it should be noted that the spray liquid can't be poured into river and sprayers can't be washed in river.
